PIC18 Development Tool
PIC18 Development Tool
I've been teaching myself using the Microchip PIC18 Starter Kit using the onboard sensors (accelerometers and potentiometer).
I'd now like to start breadboarding my own prototype.
My plan is to breadboard a solution with my own sensors (accelerometers and a GPS chip). I'd like to be able to test the prototype and debug the firmware. When the prototype is complete and working I'd like to be able to build several prototype units so I need a tool that will allow me to program PIC 18 MCUs for insertion into the prototype boards.
Any thoughts on the best tool for this purpose. I've been looking at:
1. the PICKit 2 (or 3) USB Programmer.
2. the PICDem PIC18 Explorer.
3. the PICDem Lab Development Kit.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on the best tool to use.
Many thanks.
James.
