To Fuse or not to Fuse?
Hi
I have a project ongoing, which needs the installation of 24 AC / 240 ac relay's, and a 240 ac to 24 ac transformer.
My question is this, do i need to fuse the Secondary side of the tranny as well as the Primary?
Regards
Ray

Re: To Fuse or not to Fuse?
Ray, I am going under the assumption that the relay coils are 24 vac and that you are using a step-down transformer. I would keep the fuse in the primary as that will protect the transformer and relay, since excessive current draw on the secondary translates to current draw on the primary and will blow the fuse. That being said you do not have to fuse the secondary. Some people may fuse the secondary as a matter of personal choice.

Per my knowledge, no use to fuse the secondary.
