Well that worked ... loseing my rag now...hmmm
I am running on a GPRS dongle looking tings up takes ages.

As I see it the DMXs have alot of outputs, you could switch the two sets of out puts with a flipflop and AND gates ... two banks of AND gates... run the LEDs from the flip flop.

Am I barking up the wrong tree, wrong end of the stick.

As I see it the DMXs have alot of outputs with loads, what is the load power/current etc.

Quick quick click.

The output is just a single twisted pair of wires. I can have up to about 30 nodes or drops off a single DMX universe.
The thing I'm basically trying to do is make a pair of LEDs flicker as data is transmitted along the line.

Then I want to have two lots of data in, with two pairs of LED flickering, then a DPDT switch to select which lot of data passes through the box.

Dont know ... you are the expert.
I thought it had output wires in binery count ie 128 etc... spose 2 is binery.
Sounds like a great bit of kit.
May be output into flipflops, frequency halves with each step.

What is a DMX?

Yep, the data is on/off pulses at a fairly high frequency. I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can get say a divide by 1000 counter.

Now I did not know that had been sent... computer probs...
You could have 2 LEDs per channel (one for Q and one for not Q) Thats 4 LEDs in total.
