Hi,

Newbie question - but I will remember the answers and gradually learn!

If I have created a potential divider to provide the power supply for a LED should I still put a resistor in series to control current, or does the aggregate resistance of the potential divider do the job anyway?

My question would be why have a potential divider, normally you just put an appropriate series resistor between the LED and the supply. In theory you could look up the LED data sheet and calculate the right value, or you could just use 330R for 5V, that usually works for me.
