Any electronics makers in Kent? :-)

Hi ::waves:::

I want to have something made that *feels* like it should be simple, but I don't know anything about electronics. :oops:

What I would like is a motor that will swing something that's suspended backwards and forwards by pulling an attached rope. I guess it will consist of a little motor and some kind of dimmer switch (?) that would regulate rpm?

It's for a kinetic artwork which isn't heavy.

Is there anyone in Kent (I'm in Canterbury) that might be able to make that for me?

Thank you. xx

Sounds like you want a small DC motor with speed control that turns a crank.
You can buy a battery-operated drill and put a bit of bent wire in the chuck to do that!
