electronic vibrating bracelet

Hello,
I am not a technical person. I want to design a vibrating unit that can be inserted into a bracelet which will vibrate x times per day randomly. I would like to be able to alter x on an ad hoc basis. These are the components that I think I would need.

1 x vibrating motor
1 x coin cell battery
1 x "something" to control switching on/off the vibrating motor every x minutes.

Appreciate of someone could explain (in simple non technical language) how I could build something like this or if something like this already exists , where I could purchase it. I would be eventually looking to supply these in large numbers so I am looking at a manufacturer rather than a retailer.

thanks in advance
Maddie

Hi, not many on this forum so I will do my best...

Vibrating motor hmmm not sure what that is, some sort of vibrating device... I will look it up and get back in a bit.

A coin cell yes.

A 555 timer, a small capacitor and a variable restistor will do for timing and also provide a suitable signal for the vibrator.

Hope this helps.

Hi, there are lots of things you could do... prices start at £1000 if you want me to make you a simple one.

Blue tooth... you could patch it into your phone so when your friends ring it vibrates... if it is your pairents the phone rings instead (anoying ring tone)
It could have speakers to patch to an ipod thingi... it could be a musical instrument... a harmonica bent into a toroid or synth etc.

PS you might be able to get one on flea bay or have one made in china...
