GPS-622R & Soldering

I'm building a prototype that uses a GPS-622R ( http://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/acatalog/B ... odule.html )

The component has 7 holes for connecting wires and a male to male head that fits into a breadboard / PCB.

Does anyone know if it is okay to solder this device? Do I have to worry about the heat damaging the device?

Thanks.

James.

I'd try to plug the module into your board if possible, mainly to make it easy to remove again if necessary. However I would think you would be fine to solder to it if your soldering skills are good and you do the job quickly to avoid overheating the module. It might be worth allowing it to cool after soldering each connection before moving on to the next one if you are worried.

Thanks Simon

The supplier included a male to male head and I think I there's enough room to attach a heat sink so it should be okay.
