Video Screen

Hi. I am looking to host an amateur football tournament and am looking at having a large screen with all of the different leagues, listing games played, scores etc. Any ideas how to do this from a computer to a screen? What system would be best to use? How is the connection made to transfer the data? Obviously we need to update the data constantly so which package would be best? Are we looking at Excel, something along those lines? Help!! Any ideas and suggestions would be great. many thanks
