New to electronics and need a little help

Post by chr15_8 » Sun Jul 21, 2013 2:05 pm

Hi

I'm trying to create a circuit that will turn a pump and motor on for about 10-30 seconds (wont know until I test it). It will need to be turned on every 10-15 minutes.

For example every 10 mins the pump will need to be turned on for 10 seconds.

The pump will be 230v but i'm not sure on the motor yet.

Any help/suggestions would be brilliant

Thanks
Chris

Two timers, one for off time and one for on time, the on timer used to reset the off timer. The off timer also used to enable a relay which can drive a contactor or the motor depending on its specifications.
Not really an electronics thing in respect of getting your soldering iron out!

Use: Standard, LMC555CN Timer (C-Mos.) Have always found to be best! & Use: Standard; SCR (C106D), Be very careful about: 230v A.C. as, I have been exposed to H.V. Shocks before & not very pleasant! ( I can supply, any Circuit diagrams & Circuit descriptions you may require @ No cost.) because, that`s what it`s all about!. Hopefully an INTERACIVE Site, whereby I can give Professional & concise & Non misleading, Electronic information! (This is my first time, on: Electronics 2000.) But I Feel I can offer all my: 32 years. of Knowledge & Expertise, to Honest persons & hopefully, continue to Create New projects & enjoy, future Inventions.) I think, I am getting OLD, but, want to: Genuinely, Create, some form of: Archive! for my, Thousands of: Circuits, I have Created over the years. ( Problem being: All are on: My, AMIGA A1200, Was Going to, Bin! but, use for: Research.) I Do hope this Forum can advise me how to: Transfer, AMIGA DOS / PC.

Sorry, I Did Not Answer Your Question, In Full, You require A Simple, But efficient & Safe, Timer. ( Please be very careful when, using: 230v / A.C.) I Recommend using: The Aforementioned: TIMER & SCR. (Best I Found, with my: "SECURITY-LIGHTING" Circuit, based on the same principle. (Please contact me, for any further Information, you may require & I will, Be happy to Help you.
