Depends what it is for..
May be you have 240vac or may be 36vdc power to power it. May be its for motors (robust) or silicone chips(smooth).

Nuclear power stations are quite good but always use asbestos gloves and safety goggles when changing the rods as they can get quite hot and spit a bit.
