Mini-DIN Panel Adapter
Mini-DIN Panel Adapter
Hello,
I'm looking for a mini-DIN panel adapter but I don't know if such an item exists.
I have and in-car intercom system and the connectors for each headset are 6-pin mini-DIN. The plugs on the headset leads are male and the corresponding sockets on the unit are female. Rather than plugging the headsets directly into the unit, I want a pair of intermediate panel sockets that I can mount in the dashboard. I would prefer not to have to cut and solder cables and connectors, so my ideal solution is to find a panel adapter that has a male plug on the rear and a female socket on the front. I could then connect the unit to the rear of the adapter and plug the headsets into the front.
Does anyone know where I can get such an item?
Thank you,
Paul

Re: Mini-DIN Panel Adapter
It's rather unlikely you can get such an item ready made. Your best bet is to ask someone with above average soldering skills to assemble one for you. Note the "above average" is to be taken seriously if you want the assembly to be reliable.
