Cheap 30V/5A Power Supply Any Good?

hi - beginning to build up my euipment again after a break of many years.

looking at a cheap psu shown below - around £60

however i heard they can seriously "spike" on/off - anyone comment, recommend or advise?

You get what you pay for I suppose although some of the cheaper units, of Chinese origin for example, can perform quite well.

I don't know your intended use but I've always found the 2 x output power supplies more useful especially when you need dual power supply rails. Worth considering?

If it's from a reputable supplier and has a decent warranty then you can always send it back if you aren't happy.

many thanks for your reply - x 2 inputs is a great idea but unfortunately my budget is limited - i'll chance the cheapo & see how it performs particularly wrt "spiking" - will post later when received & tested - cheers
