Simple 555 signal generator ...
Hello.
I am trying to build this circuit :
http://www.rmcybernetics.com/projects/D ... erator.htm
on breadboard without using the 14-pin IC socket (because it doesn't lock down in the board).
I have three things i'm unsure of :
1. What is supposed to be connected to the middle leg of my (3-leg, linear) pots. Is it the chip pins or resistors ?
2. The circuit diagram has connecting lines running from some components to unused legs of the IC socket, what should i be doing there ?
3. What is the best way to test this circuit's output ?
Thank you,
Gary.

Hurray !
I figured it out
Resistors go to middle legs and the connecting lines to unused legs on IC socket don't matter.
I tested it by attaching a small speaker.
