Touch sensors for visually impaired
Touch sensors for visually impaired
Hi,
I'm creating an arts project for visually impaired people and would like some advice on sensors. I want to create a system where sensors will be worn on the users body and when they are touched sound/video will be triggered. The sound/video side is not a problem and so far I have been using a Nintendo WII remote to control this via bluetooth but I'm not very experienced with electronics and would really appreciate some help. So my questions are:
How difficult/possible do people think it would be to solder new switches (on extended wires so that they can be attached to different areas of the body) to the WII circuit board? (pic of board attached for ref)
What type of sensor would be best to use? It needs to be as flat as possible and if possible flexible - I have been trying to research this and wondered if Force Sensitive Resistors would work?
Any help and advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
